Islamabad United Recent Form

Islamabad have a chance to make the PSL final for the first time since 2018. Even though they only won 4/10 of the group matches!

United’s form has been getting worse too. They’ve won only 1/5 games since the tournament moved to Lahore.

That win was against Karachi Kings – the worst team in PSL – and it was only by 1 run.

United have struggled with injuries and illness throughout PSL 2022. Because of those injuries, Alex Hales has made a surprise comeback.

The Englishman had left the PSL after struggling with coronavirus restrictions. His form wasn’t great either, but his return is welcome.

It would be even better news for United if Shadab Khan was fit to play. United’s captain has missed three matches because of a groin problem. His team have not performed well without him.

Player to Watch: Liam Dawson

Liam Dawson arrived late to the 2022 PSL and has only played 5 matches so far. But he’s worth keeping an eye on today.

A useful off-spinner, Dawson made his Test debut for England in India back in 2016.

With the ball in PSL this year, he’s taken 7 wickets with a healthy economy rate of 6.59.

With the bat, he’s been promoted up the order and could be a dangerous pinch-hitter for United.
